Weight is coming off, soaring high
Pleading you to stay, come alive

Say you mean it, seal it up
Say you wanna try
Say you haven't had enough
Say you wanna

Once you get the feeling, it
Wants you back for more
Says it's gonna heal it, but
You won't make the call
One step back, you're leaving it
Now it's moving on
Why won't you believe in it
'till it's gone?

Fading at the light
Softly say
Get it out my mind anyway

Say you mean it, seal it up
Say you wanna try
Say you haven't had enough
Say you wanna

Once you get the feeling, it
Wants you back for more
Says it's gonna heal it, but
You won't make the call
One step back, you're leaving it
Now it's moving on
Why won't you believe in it
'till it's gone?

Once you get the feeling, it
Wants you back for more
Now it gets ethereal
Feet ain't on the floor
Once step back, you're leaving it
Jumping at the wall
Why won't you believe in it
'till it's gone?

You gave to me
All I know
I will stay here
I will not go (x2)

Say you mean it, seal it up
Say you wanna try
Say you haven't had enough
Say you wanna

Once you get the feeling, it
Wants you back for more
Says it's gonna heal it, but
You won't make the call
One step back, you're leaving it
Now it's moving on
Why won't you believe in it
'till it's gone?

Once you get the feeling it
Wants you back for more
Now it gets ethereal
Feet ain't on the floor
One step back, you're leaving it
Jumping at the wall
Why won't you believe in it
'till it's gone?

This song is overly addictive. I feel like I'm on drugs when I'm listening to it. Not that I really know what that's like...Anyway, it's just so lightening and vibrant and alive. It really makes you question too. I think it's all about the fear of commitment. "Say you mean it, seal it up. Say you wanna try." It's about begging your love to accept what you know they feel. "Why won't you believe in it 'til it's gone?" The low point of all human characteristics, we want things we can't have and we realize what we want too late. Love is such an ineffable emotion, and it seems pointless to even try to describe what it is...Or maybe this song is about setting your iPod to shuffle, and you hear a song that you think you might like, but you decide to skip over it, and by the time you realize that you wanted to listen, it's already gone. I'll let you guys decide that.

I believe It´s about how we can shuffle our feelings for someone with no reason, like when we are with someone for a long time, and suddendly you dont feel the same way as you used to, and then you decide to break down your relationship with that person, probably with the excuse that you need to meet new people or that you need a change in your life. "Weight is coming off soaring high" you're telling that person what you,ve been thinking for some time and that you dont want to be with her/him anymore."Pleading you to stay come alive" this person dont want you to go away and ask for you to stay."Say you mean it, seal it up say you wanna try Say you haven't had enough say you wanna" It's what you're suposed to say in order to not continue with your mistake..."Once you get the feeling it wants you back for more"It refers to the feeling of waking up and realize that you miss that person so much and how much you need to be with him/her. "Says it's gonna heal it but you won't make the call" It's when we say there's no problem, that the pain will pass, and you won't make the call to that person."One step back you're leaving it now it's moving on" It's about when you regret of your decision and try to comeback with that person again but she/he is not interested anymore. "Why won't you believe in it 'till it's gone?" This is how you must appreciate what you have now and not until is gone... I love this song... Sorry if bad english

To me, it sounds like he's singing about an addiction... Once you get the feeling it - (once you've tried it) wants you back for more - (you get hooked) Says it's gonna heal it but - (you say you'll get better) you won't make the call - (you think you have it under control) One step back you're leaving it now it's moving on - (you left it, and now your addiction gets worse) Why won't you believe in it - (why won't you realise your problem) 'till it's gone? - (until it's too late) and the line about it being ethereal, the affects of your addiction... For me this song will always be about addiction.

This is all about a relationship were one person is completely in love with the other, but the other wont admit or commit to their true feelings for them.

Weight is coming off, soaring high Pleading you to stay, come alive

This verse refers to the on/off feeling that occurs when there's a glimmer of hope that things are going they way they want.

Say you mean it, seal it up Say you wanna try Say you haven't had enough Say you wanna

This is them pleading with the other to admit what they want and not to stop anything happening between them.

Once you get the feeling, it Wants you back for more Says it's gonna heal it, but You won't make the call One step back, you're leaving it Now it's moving on Why won't you believe in it 'till it's gone?

This is saying that when the feeling is strong, its so addictive it keeps you wanting more of it. And whenever you have that feeling it takes away all of the bad feelings that they both have, but one of them will never actually stick to it (for whatever reason they have). Now its moving on refers to the fact that they're both loosing the relationship, and one is asking why they wont realise what they've lost until its gone. Its all about the feeling of loving someone that loves you but cannot bring themselves to actually commit or loose what they have already.

I think this song is about the realization of having the person you need in your life, then throwing them away for something that you think you need, possibly drugs. Giving up that person you need for the addiction you have for drugs, and making that realization. The use of the word "it" in the chorus confuses the listener into not know if "it" refers to drugs or the significant other, which I think what the singer wants. To have the listener be just as confused about what they want/need. The singer doesn't know whether they need the feelings that drugs give them, or the feeling that love gives them, more.

and I thought maybe it had to do with going to therapy (mental)?? Like one that is dabbling in it, but not committing, "weight is coming off, soaring high, pleading you to stay, come alive"... I suppose this could be about any relationship.... All I can say is its awesome, amazing band, and very creative....

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
