"We Can't Stop" was the first single from Miley Cyrus' 2013 album Bangerz ....
It's our party we can do what we want
It's our party we can say what we want
It's our party we can love who we want
We can kiss who we want
We can see who we want

It's our party we can do what we want
It's our party we can say what we want
It's our party we can love who we want
We can kiss who we want
We can see who we want

Red cups and sweaty bodies everywhere
Hands in the air like we don't care
'Cause we came to have so much fun now
Got somebody here might get some now

If you're not ready to go home
Can I get a hell no
'Cause we gonna go all night
'Till we see the sunlight alright

So la da da di we like to party
Dancing with Molly
Doing whatever we want,
This is our house
This is our rules
And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
Can't you see it's we who own the night
Can't you see it we who bout' that life
And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
We run things, things don't run we
Don't take nothing from nobody yeah yeah

It's our party we can do what we want
It's our party we can say what we want
It's our party we can love who we want
We can kiss who we want
We can see who we want

To my home girls here with the big butts
Shaking it like we at a strip club
Remember only God can judge us
Forget the haters cause somebody loves ya
And everyone in line in the bathroom
Trying to get a line in the bathroom
We all so turnt up here
Getting turnt up yeah yeah yeah

So la da da di we like to party
Dancing with Molly
Doing whatever we want
This is our house
This is our rules
And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
Can't you see it's we who own the night
Can't you see it we who bout' that life
And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
We run things
Things don't run we
Don't take nothing from nobody yeah yeah

It's our party we can do what we want
It's our party we can say what we want
It's our party we can love who we want
We can kiss who we want
We can see who we want

It's our party we can do what we want to
It's our house we can love who we want to
It's our song we can sing if we want to
It's my mouth I can say what I want to yea, yea, yeah

And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
Can't you see it's we who own the night
Can't you see it we who bout' that life
And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
We run things, things don't run we
Don't take nothing from nobody, yeah yeah
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah,
(We can do what we want, we can do what we want) hey

General CommentPeople can hate on this song all they want but it's still on replay on most young adults playlists. Yeah, she could have dropped the two drug references but this song legit shows the zone that people my age are in when we're partying. When you're out and you have that whole "We're young; we only live once; Nobody can stop us" vibe where you just let loose. I seriously love this song and even though I'm not keen on all her music, this was definitely the jam of the summer. Well one of them at least.
I think this song is also a shout out by Miley to all the people hating on Miley's new image; And while I admit she can be a little out there, she's enjoying herself. That's what this song is about. "It's our house we can say what we want to"; meaning it's her life (our life) and we can say/do/be whoever we want to.

General Commentthis song had no freakin meaning she doesn't write her own music she just performs this and she gets the credit for it if anything metal and rock musicians write their own music but apparantly people don't like musicians writing their own music because nowadays it's hard to find people who love metal and rock music like me because everyone likes this crappy junk people call music this isn't real music people music with meaning is.

My OpinionI really love this song! I listen to it like 24/7! :) ... But, I seen the music video and I really didn't think it went with the song. The video is just..weird? It's not bad but its also not good. My opinion is that I think she is trying way too hard to be someone she's not. I love ya' Miley, but that video was not that good to me. The song is GREAT though! :) My favorite part: "Remember only god can judge us, forget the haters, cos' somebody loves ya'!"

General CommentShe says "It's my mouth I can say what I want to", and yet in an interview with The Daily Mail she says "I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they've already had to edit it so much".

So much for integrity with speech. It's one thing to write a song intended for the masses, but another to claim independence while doing it.
