You're the revolution.
I will be the rose.
If you're at a crossroads I'll follow.
I will be the rhythm when you're blue.
I will be your bandage when you're bruised.
If you're like a bank vault I'll break in.
Meet you like the oceans meet the sands.
I will be your lighthouse and lead you in.
If you've had a bad day raise your hands.

If you're ever low remember that it aint so cold that a little sun won't show and get you up off the floor.

I've slipped down the drain.
I know how it stings when you're too numb to feel a thing else.
I've climbed out of the ruin and i've come too close to let you go now.
I'll be your way out.
I could be your way out.

If you got the whole world on your shoulders I will carry you all on my own.
I could be your backbone.
I could be your hope.
I can be the light in the dark if you want.

It was 2007 now I think of it November when I stumbled to the closet and pressed a wrist to a hanger and I scribbled out a letter and addressed it to my mama and I told her that I love her and it was never her fault but no I never did it I got through it with my friends I started this band and never looked back.
It goes to show that there's a promise if only you can keep it.
I will show you that.
