"Diamond" as written by Amber Erica Webber and Joshua Mark Wells....
claim to me that this city's so tired
then you're falling over laughing from the late night hour
so nothing's promised or ever guaranteed to last
held my breath but you faded fast

say it slowly
you still shine like a diamond
I felt it through me

whisper to me that you've had enough
apologize that you're not enough
if it's just the chemicals in our brains
slow, stay

everybody's seemed to say the same thing
I was in too deep; I was over my head
you held me on to a love that was free (???)
break the rules; I'm an innocent fool

you said it slowly
still shines like a diamond
I felt it through me

whisper to me that you've had enough
apologize that you're not enough
if it's just the chemicals in our brains
slow, stay
slow, stay

whisper to me that you've had enough
apologize that you're not enough
if it's just the chemicals in our brains
slow, stay
slow, stay
slow, stay
slow, stay

Translationthe consensus out there seems to be that she's saying "slow, stay"...but I don't quite think that's correct. I'm not sure though. instead of "slow," it sounds sometimes like "it's love" or "this love" or something about love :) so if you have any suggestions regarding this, or any other part of the song, please do share.
