"Lean" as written by and Thomas Linton Zachary Lind....
You keep it simple at the start
And never question things too hard
Shouldn’t shock you when you’re down this far

I’m not asking for a fix
I just need you close to reach
If can’t stop myself at all
If can’t lean on you I fall
Every single time I’m wrong
Every selfish trip I’m on
If I can’t lean on you I fall

When I think I’m so messed up
And when you think you’re so messed up
Gotta keep in mind that we’re just us

I’m not asking for a fix
I just need you close to reach
If can’t stop myself at all
If can’t lean on you I fall
Every single time I’m wrong
Every selfish trip I’m on
If I don’t lean on you
If I don’t lean on you I fall

If I can’t lean on you I fall

I’m hoping for the perfect day
When I look into the right face
And really mean it, saying, I'm okay

I’m not asking for a fix
I just need you close to reach
If can’t stop myself at all
If can’t lean on you I fall
Every single time I’m wrong
Every selfish trip I’m on
If I don’t lean on you
If I don’t lean on you I fall

General CommentTwo people who consider themselves to be at low points of their lives. Of the opposite gender.

Not looking to hook up with each other. One of them just needs the other to "lean on." needs them to vent to. To realize they're not that different from everyone else. To realize they can succeed.

I love this song. Easy to relate to. We've all had that opposite gender friend we rely on to keep us afloat
