"Bad Thing" as written by and Kyle Matthew Thomas....
When I play my Stratocaster
Shooting out circles of sound
When I'm looking in the mirror
A creature so ugly and wild

All I ever wanted was everything
And now I'm being haunted by those dreams
Now I'm going rotten
I'm turning green
Cause I'm a bad, bad thing

Yeah, I'm a bad, bad, bad thing
I'm a bad, bad, bad thing
I'm a bad, bad, bad thing
I'm a bad thing

When I play my Stratocaster
I feel like an innocent kid
But when I'm looking in the mirror
Remember the bad things I did

'Cause all I ever wanted was everything
And now I'm being haunted by those dreams
Now I'm going rotten
I'm turning green
'Cause I'm a bad, bad thing

I'm a bad, bad, bad thing
I'm a bad, bad, bad thing
I'm a bad, bad, bad thing
I'm a bad thing

I'm a bad, bad, bad thing, (A bad thing)
I'm a bad, bad, bad thing, (A bad thing)
I'm a bad, bad, bad thing, (A bad thing)
I'm a bad thing

My InterpretationA Stratocaster is a cool guitar, so he plays good music, but when he looks at himself as a person, not a musician, he doesn't like what he sees.
Then he says how he wanted everything and now those dreams are just hurting him because he's getting full of himself.
He is a bad, bad thing.
So basically the narrator is disappointed in himself that the music business has gotten the best of him and his morals are gone.
...but it doesn't matter cause this song is a good good good thing.
