Miss. Mackie was way too young to understand
Why she got thrown into someone else's hands
Why she woke up with strange men

They tore her to pieces and she couldn't comprehend
Why she was locked up in a basement filled with men
Should've gone to school, but instead she did bad

Don't touch me, I'm fragile
I'm bitter in my heart
Moma sold me, for candy
Now I was ruined from the start

Why'd you have to sell me to those mean old men
They cut me up in places I don't even understand
Now its normal seems to me how will my friends understand?
Im five years old, sleeping with a million men

All grown up and her body has decayed
All those promiscuous scams she had to play
She skipped the jungle, the jungle gym phase

She's trying to look at things in a bright way
Sees a light peekin at the end of the hallway
She's tryin, tryin, tryin escape

Im running full force to you
But its harder when your gone
I'm weak knee'd, but I'm flying
Out of this hell hole

Why'd you have to sell me to those mean old men
They cut me up in places I don't even understand
Now its normal seems to me how will my friends understand?
I'm ten years old, running from a million men

Million men

Finally the light is coming close
No turning back where I'm fallin from
Angels swoop down and grab me
Now I'm safe away from the million men
Raise me

Why'd you have to sell me to those mean old men
They cut me up in places I don't even understand
Now its normal seems to me how will my boyfriend understand?
I'm seventeen, with a history of a million men

A million men.
A million men, a million a million men
A million men.
A million men, a million a million men

A Million Men

My OpinionI think that this song is about a little girl and how her mother sold her for "candy"(drugs/money). She was sold to these men who raped and abused her in a basement. "They cut me up in places I don't even understand". So, years passes and she is now 10,still with these men in the same basement. One day, the men accidentally left the basement door open, so she runs out the door and through the hallway. Another few years has passed, and now she is 17. She now has a boyfriend, but she has never talked to anyone about what happened to her. Since she hasn't opened up about it, she doesn't know how people would react, and if her boyfriend would still love her. ( This actually reminds me of a book called "The Cellar" by Natasha Preston. It is AMAZING, so you could search for it on Wattpad, or buy it from a store.)
