More to love when your hands are free
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
One, two, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me

They come from miles away
Just to see how you get down
Feels like an earthquake
Every time you come around

Hear them saying yeah
Every time it feels like a revival
So get up right now
They're coming for the title

More to love when your hands are free
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
One, two, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
When you move I fall to my knees
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
Five, four, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me

I want you on my team
I want you like a kid just wants a milkshake
And I won't let it go to waste
If I get a taste I'm going to drink the whole thing

Hear them saying yeah
Every time it feels like a revival
So get up right now
They're coming for the title

More to love when your hands are free
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
One, two, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
When you move I fall to my knees
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
Five, four, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me

Ladies to the left, fellas to the right

If you wanna see me put my pom poms down
Then sing it to me, baby
Sing it right now
Na na na na na na, yeah, yeah
If you wanna see me put my pom poms down
Then sing it to me, baby
Sing it right now
Na na na na na na, yeah, yeah

More to love when your hands are free
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
One, two, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
When you move I fall to my knees
Baby, put your pom poms down for me
Come on, shake it up
Five, four, three
Baby, put your pom poms down for me, me, me

This song is about feminism during the Nazi war.

    My Interpretation

Okay so I've just watched the music video for this song. At first, the term 'Pom poms' seemed pretty innocent at the beginning but as it got further in the video, and the girls started dancing suggestively with a lot of hip and booty movements, I realized that the boys' idea of 'Pom Poms' in this song is a girl's butt cheeks or her breasts maybe?

'And I won't let it go to waste If I get a taste I'm going to drink the whole thing'

Not really sure how to feel about their comeback.. They seem to want to show less of their charming, boyish sides like a few years back and instead go for a more sexy, womanizer appearance.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
