This is one of my favorite songs. https://fnfgo.io
A heart made of stone callous and bone
Fracture and tear it out to let it go
And to think I called it my own
And I would have never though the pain could grow
So I'll break it knowing what you said
The pain is what you make it sadly you are so mistaken
I will take you with a grain and step into the changes
Throw away the empty heart
Right now
Never want to leave this place
And right now see it in a different way
So right now even if you take me on
I'll stand, the lonely
Stand, the lonely
It's harder to know just where to go
If only the stars aligned the sunsets glowed
I don't need a calm in a storm
Or something to scream about with empty lungs
So I'll break it knowing what you said
The pain is what you make it sadly you are so mistaken
I will take you with a grain and step into the changes
Throw away the empty heart
Right now
Never want to leave this place
And right now see it in a different way
So right now even if you take me on
I'll stand, the lonely
Stand, the lonely
Right now
Never want to leave this place
And right now see it in a different way
So right now even if you take me on
I'll stand, the lonely
Stand, the lonely
Right now
Never want to leave this place
And right now see it in a different way
So right now even if you take me on
I'll stand, the lonely
Stand, the lonely
Fracture and tear it out to let it go
And to think I called it my own
And I would have never though the pain could grow
So I'll break it knowing what you said
The pain is what you make it sadly you are so mistaken

Stand, the lonely

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988.
"'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it."
"There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
Blue
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
Midnight
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms.
“Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
Because sometimes recognizing your lonliness is not enough. Live it for a while and understand it for what it is. The "anthem" of one's loneliness is the self-absorbtion in the depression in creates. It is "Right now" and one "Never want to leave this place" while "... right now see(ing) it in a different way" ... but if you approach this person to "help them" ... "So right now even if you take me on" .... they will cower back in the depression. "I'll stand, the lonely. Stand, the lonely". The irony is that the anthem is also a banner you carry by knowing that you can only feel lonely if you first understood what it was to be loved. So tear out the "stone callous and bone" heart that is possessing you and know it for what it ..... WAS.
In my opinion they are singing about Matthew 17:4 Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
"...Right now Never want to leave this place..."
The song is basically saying that if you are truly lonely, nowhere you go will change. You have to understand and indulge in the fact that you are truly lonely to break free of it.
@DwBoutDaNoob
I think you are on point here. It what the title says and I also think the song also provides a kind of Strength after you got a firm grip on the ground, after the pain subsides.
Standing at a place where is no further down.
The strength is the ability and the curse, that he survived and still live, and still can go on.
On this point there is no reason to climb back up ... only to fall down again???
I think this is the emotion they give.
I have a really strong feeling Nine lashes will become one of the legends of rock. I just think they have something great, that isnt in other bands that belong to the same league and/or timeline. They remind me of three days grace. This is just my opinion.
