Willow trees and figurines
Well that's when we used to play pretend
I counted days by finding ways
to make ideas flow from this pen

And in a way I think we're ok
for becoming so unoriginal
It's not my attempt to vindicate
Our end at becoming those liberals

We want so much more
for our kids and for ourselves
Well we're all so selfish anyhow

I can see right through these trees
that you and I aren't the only ones pretending
people create such a fuss
when you question all that they are defending
