"Tell Me" as written by and Patrick Ciaran Doyle Marion Elisa Herbain....
Tell me tell me everything
Tell me if your boat is sinking
Take me where you have been
Tell me tell me everything

Following you, there’s no reason to stray

Tell me, tell me what to sing
Bring me, bring me closer to you
Show me what you have done
Tell me, it could be anyone

Following you, there’s no reason
Following you, there’s no reason to stray

Tell me, tell me everything
Tell me, tell me what you’re thinking
Take me where you have been
Tell me, could be anything

Following you, there’s no reason
Following you, there’s no reason to stray

Tell me, tell me everything
Would you tell me if your boat is sinking?

General CommentI was not sure about all these lyrics but I figured I would post what I had and encourage corrections. I like to think the reference to there is no reason is a response to the velvets i found a reason.

and do we not all wish we had someone we could tell everything to (and not repel them? it is quite dangerous isn't it?)

General Commenti have been told the lyric probably says there is no reason to STAY....but i think the word stray..by having no reason to stray is uncharacteristically affirmative of whatever relationship the singer is in.....and perhaps more unexpected and therefore interesting for a band who once wrote about love being found in a graveyard
