I'll start a fire with sticks
I'll put it out with my fists
I'll swim across the sound

I'll build a house in the trees
Then live where ever we please
And never settle down

Away from here
away from here
towards the purple sky

Your future is bright
and my fingers calloused
while we're tasting time

Whoa, whoa, whoa
I've been in town from a hole in the ground
(x3)

I'll dig until we find gold
We'll run until we grow old
We'll never touch the ground

I'll build a home on the sea
We'll swim where ever we please
searching for the shore

Away from here
away from here
towards the purple sky

Your future is bright
and my fingers ballasts
while we're tasting time

Whoa, whoa, whoa
I've been in town from a hole in the ground
(x3)

We are golden
We're gold
We're golden
(x2)

Away from here (we are golden)
I'll wait right here (we're gold)
Towards the purple sky (we're golden)

Away from here (we are golden)
I'll wait right here (we're gold)

Whoa, whoa, whoa
I've been in town from a hole in the ground
(x4)

General CommentIt is very centered on freedom and exploration
    [live/swim wherever we please]

especially leaving a place where you feel unhappy
[away from here/been in town from (coming from) a hole in the ground (a place I felt stuck in)]

and not getting tied down like everyone else, but rather going your own places and finding your own way
[searching for the shore/future is bright/we are golden]

General CommentIs it not "I've built a town from a hole in the ground"?
