"Teach Me to Know" as written by Zach Williams and Caleb Clardy....
First born carry promise of the old born
You’re the same but somehow different
They’re the produce of the lie
It breaks in and you never see it come then
Seems like every of them moan there
Like a secret you can’t tell

And you get carried away, carried away
Carried away, carried away

I’ve been thousand years into the future
Almost nothing of it seemed sure
Things so rarely stay the same
Right here in this bad and simple seconds
Leaving out all of your best guesses
Someone’s calling out your name

And you get carried away, carried away
Carried away, carried away

Teach me to know my number of day
Hold out my heart from getting carried
Teach me to know my number of days
Hold out my heart from getting carried
Teach me to know my number of days
Hold out my heart from getting carried
Carried away
Carried away, carried away

General CommentIts an awesome song to belt out first off ... but I think its about wondering when you end up together with the person you find special.

Its sort of like a waiting period. You think you have a good idea that the person feels the same way so its like "tell me the number of days" till things HAPPEN.

I think we can all relate to this .. but perhaps its not something that anybody knows. Getting carried away happens so in the moment ... in a beautiful instance ... and you just never know when that can be.

    i.e. Beauty of Life.

General CommentFirst - a lot of these lyrics are wrong.

Aside from that, usually when I listen to a song I always see it as a relationship either gone wrong, in love or some aspect of it. But when I first listened to this song - I just had their cd on and listened to it. It kind of reminds me of Jesus/God and religion.

It's not a sad song - it's played with a lot of enthusiasm and drums which makes me think it's a song meant to be happy and powerful. The feeling I get is that the singer is asking someone - God or whomever - to help him hold out his heart for something. In life you get carried away in moments and I think he's asking for a little guidance when that happens.

"Teach me to know my number of days
Hold out my heart from getting carried"

When I get carried away in moments in my life - help me to be patient, be focused on what I really want.
