Jetlag, been in a state of disaster
Ever since I left you the last time
I saw you just fade away

Now I get lost, tracing my steps back
It cost nearly everything that
I'm not ready to lose today

No I'm not ready to lose everything I know, I'm letting go of
Paris, you know I held on too much
I left you at the station, I put you in my past
And now darling, all that shit's behind us
You never have to wonder, you never have to ask

You never have to

Drink up every last drop and
Shake off the feeling that you're watching me now
I should have just told the truth

But now sweetheart, listen to the way I
Cannot forget a single day I
Spent rolling all around the room with you

It's just a fantasy, taking over like a disease
Pull me out of this I can't breath
It's burning through my chest

A fantasy, taking over like a disease
Pull me out of this I can't breath
I just need a rest from

Paris, you know I held on too much
I left you at the station, I put you in my past
And now darling, all that shit's behind us
You never have to wonder, you never have to ask

You never have to

It's just a fantasy, taking over like a disease
Pull me out of this I can't breath
It's burning through my chest

A fantasy, taking over like a disease
Pull me out of this I can't breath
Oh I just need a rest

No I'm not ready to lose you again

Oh Paris, you know I held on too much
I left you at the station, I put you in my past
And now darling, all that shit's behind us
You never have to wonder, you never have to ask

You never have to

    My Interpretation

You could think of Paris as a place you were in or a state of mind during a relationship that might have included mistakes like cheating. But he seems sincere towards the one he loved while he was in this Paris or getting out of it "jetlag been in a state of disaster" jetlag being him getting out of the state of mind that caused a rift in his relationship but he acknowledges her value to him and he's trying to fix it "ever since I left you saw you just fade away and I get lost tracing my steps back it cost nearly everything that I'm not ready to lose today not ready to lose everything I know I'm letting go of Paris" and so he's moving on and repairing it "letting go of Paris you know I've held on too much I've left you at the station I've put you in my past darlin all that shits behind us you never have to wonder you never have to ask." But it seems she found out on her own and he regrets not coming forward and feels she doesn't trust him and is paranoid because regardless of how sorry he is he feels her over his shoulder "shake off the feeling that your watching me now should've just told the truth" but he expresses how sorry he is and values her and that he always has her and their time together on his mind "sweetheart listen to the way I can not forget a single day I spent rolling all around the room with you" but they're having this issue or rift it seems he's either trying to get her back or get her back in the state of mind she was in before he messed up but it is driving him out of breath it's physically paining him how much it bothers him that he might lose everything he loves "it's just a fantasy taking over like a disease pull me out of this I can't breathe it's burning through my chest and I'm not ready to lose you again"

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
