You're my friend
Guilty but you can tell me
Anything, let me hear
All of your sorry fears

Let the stars shine on your tears
There's nobody else here
You don't really expect me to believe
He just stepped from the verge into your headlights

Right is wrong
Grab your keys, turn it right on
We're gonna drive back
You're not as lonely as that

Let the stars shine on your tears
There's nobody else here
You don't really expect me to believe
He just stepped from the verge into your headlights
He just stepped from the verge into your headlights
The driver is you

I'm a startled deer caught in your headlights
Run me down, run me down, it feels right

He's not inside your heart anymore
You never told me that before
Oh lonely night I left my scent on shore
Nestle down in reeds and breathe through a straw
Lay back in the water I can hear my heart beat
I can run forever on these guilty shiftless feet

The driver is you
