Come one, come all to Jasontown
Mother is showing the world around
Her garden is finally grown
Her garden is finally grown

Flowers grow and people see
They all look the same to me
Growing in a row
Growing in a row

I love Julie in the spring
Candyfloss hair and purple wings
Talking in my sleep
Walking in my sleep

I lay my head
On the breast
Of the dead
And I cry...

1492 is now
Please don't ask me why or how
People are the same
People are the same

Don't you come to Jasontown
Father is saying the world is round
Here the garden's grown
Here the garden's grown

I lay my head
On the breast
Of the dead
And I cry...

The words are impressionistic/abstract to me, it’s more about feeling them than trying to discern an actual meaning…just beautiful poetry and images. Amazing song to lead off a very important album, an underrated masterpiece and well ahead of it’s time.
