Any movement, any movement
Is, is essential
No more breaking down in your drive way
Any movement

Any heartache, any hard-earned pain
Is a blessing
Satisfaction is an illusion
Any heartache

And what's left? And what's left?
When you know that the game is up
When you know that the game is over
What's left?

When I'm coming 'round to pick you up
And you told me that you've had enough

Any movement
Did we waste our time
On the wrong things?
But it seemed so right.
Did you leave it for a reason?

And what's left? And what's left?
When you know that the game is up
When you know that the game is over
What's left? What's left?

When I'm coming 'round to pick you up
And you told me that you've had enough

And we are lonely riders with our hearts on fire
Lazy love just wasn't quite enough for me
We are lonely riders with our hearts on fire
And our lazy love just wasn't quite enough for me
(What's left?)
Lonely riders with our hearts on fire
(what's left?)
And our lazy love just wasn't quite enough for me
(what's left?)
Lonely riders with our hearts on fire
(what's left?)
And our lazy love just wasn't quite enough for me

Lonely riders with our hearts on fire

My InterpretationI think that this is about a sort of relationship.
They both, had connections at one point. Seemingly only physical, but I think that the guy wanted more than that, when the girl didn't.

    Any movement, any movement
    Is, is essential

I think that he means, a relationship needs to move on, it needs to develop.

    Any heartache, any hard-earned pain
    Is a blessing
    Satisfaction is an illusion
    Any heartache

Here he's talking about the satisfaction he may have found from the relationship, and how it kept him from seeing the truth. He may have thought they had a connection, but then again, could he be sure?

When you know that the game is up
When you know that the game is over
    What's left?

He knows that what they had is over now, and he wants to know what's left of what they may have had.

When I'm coming 'round to pick you up
And you told me that you've had enough

so basically, he wants to take her out again, and be with her, but she's just done with him.

And we are lonely riders with our hearts on fire
Lazy love just wasn't quite enough for me

they got together because they were both lonely, and looking for someone to get together with, or whatever, but in the end, what she was a lot less committed to him than he was to her.

"any movement is essential", could also refer to him trying to move on from her.
