Together we killed the colony
We'll take away the heart in me
A looser grip, failed to notice it
Puling away when you reach for it

Cause I've been moving slowly since then
Take the call to break the pattern
We could find a reason to leave
But you will always have part of me

I held your hand and felt your skin
But I could not get used to it
Together we killed the colony
We'll take away the heart in me

Because I've been moving slowly since then
Take the call to break the pattern
We could find a reason to leave
But you will always have part of me

I've been moving slowly since then
Take the call to break the pattern
We could find a reason to leave
But you will always have part of me

General CommentI think of this song as if she loved someone but didn't felt that their love was right, so they split up but then she loved him and it hurted her :/

My InterpretationIt's a song about missing your chance:

A looser grip, failed to notice it; pulling away when you reach for it -and- I held your hand and felt your skin; But I could not get used to it:>>>
I didn't realize how much I resisted your attempts to show me love because I'm so damaged. I now realize how much love you had for me..... and now it's too late.

I've been moving slowly since then:>>>
I'm now heavy hearted and emotional.

Take the call to break the pattern: >>>
Accept my apology; love me again. Don't miss out like I did.

We could find a reason to leave, But you will always have part of me:>>>
Maybe we're both in two different places now.....but I love you, and I always will....
