"Out in the Way" as written by and James Dustin Payseur....
Are you waking me up now?
I was smiling headfirst 'gainst the wind
It was in you that I could work around

So free
Then just keeps reminding me
All of these moments quickly passing me

In the darkness passing through
Tell me is it really you?
You don't look the same as when I was dreaming
Even though it's not much time
I can't get it off my mind
Everything feels different now here without you

Even though it's not much time
I can't get it off my mind
Everything feels different now here without you

Out in the way
Out in the way
It was in you that I could work around

My InterpretationI think it's about a guy whose longing for someone, but he can only be with them in his dreams. He's nagged by this feeling that his life is just passing him by while he's wrapped up in a fantasy.

    General CommentI think these lyrics are more accurate;

Are you waking me up now?
I was falling headfirst 'gainst the waves
It was in you that I could work around..??

I'm on an island, I'm so free
Then it just keeps reminding me
All of these moments quickly passing me by

    In the darkness passing through
Tell me is it really you?
You don't look the same as when I was dreaming
Even though it's not much time
I can't get it off my mind
Everything feels different now here without you

Even though it's not much time
I can't get it off my mind
Everything feels different now here without you

    Out in the way
    Out in the way
It was in you that I could work around..??

I don't think they're saying "It was in you that I could work around" in the first verse and the outro. That doesn't sound right, or make much sense.

    Great song, though!
