Essence of beauty
Taken too soon
Princess of hope
Deep in our hearts you live on

Essence of goodness
Goddess of life
Give us the power / Give us a reason
God give us strength to live on

How could this happen?
Of what have we done?
Will our tears ever pay for our sin?

Mother forgive us
We need all your love
to fight and to carry the burden of shame

Hear by we swear
for as long as we live
we will not soil our name
The truth made of iron
will seal it with pain
until death our secret remains

A minute away but worlds / oceans apart
Brothers in blood now divided in heart

By grief and sorrow one is striving to repay
Behind the palisade he lives his destined life
The music and the tears are piercing through the walls
turn to nightmares and there is no escape at all

Oh joyful childhood you died so young…

Every child follows blind
On the journey we call life
Learning every day
(Learning with every step)
Given love or given hate
Determines everybodies fate in life
Be careful what you give

A stranger to love and affection
on the run
in search of shelter in the solitude of sin
A drifter in the dark of a soldier
of the pain
A constant slave under the belt of misery

Oh joyful childhood you died so young

Every child follows blind
on the journey we call life
Learning every day
(Learning with every step)
Given love or given hate
Determines everybodies fate in life
Be careful what you give

Song MeaningI think this is one of the clear songs on the album. The funeral-like intro is obviously about Jolee's death, and how both brothers coped with it back then and now. Jolee incorporates pure love and goodwill throughout the story.

    "Stranger to love and affection"
This stanza is also obviously about Robert. Unlike his brother, he most likely never found the love of his life, which might have contributed to his decision to kill Aurora.

All in all, I feel like this song doesn't really "capture" one single episode of the story, but rather "concludes" and looks back at everything that happened, together with a chorus at the end which sounds a bit like the morale of a story:

    Given love or given name
    Determines everybody's fate in life
    Be careful what you give
