In the mirror, my reflection lies to me
That is not the man I want to see
But every harvest takes me closer to my aim
I will be there as soon as darkness falls

My life is but a heartbeat away
And all you ever had will soon belong to me

In morte ultima veritas
You will kneel before me and you will confess that I'm God
Vincit veritas in omni re
Send me your prayers, but death is the answer to life

While your wailings feed my anger, I stay calm
'Cause I'm sure that you won't let me down
Fading gently to the sound I can't forget
And don't you know that when the music dies

My life is but a heartbeat away
And all you ever had will soon belong to me

In morte ultima veritas
You will kneel before me and you will confess that I'm God
Vincit veritas in omni re
Send me your prayers, but death is the answer to life

My life, so short, but innocent
It always will remain
And all I know is it was good, my childhood memories
And I was blessed to live

Please... please let it die
Or brother this is my last goodbye
I'm begging you please

In morte ultima veritas
You will kneel before me and you will confess that I'm God
Vincit veritas in omni re
Send me your prayers, but death is the answer to life

General Comment:You could say that it is the theme song of Robert, the "evil" twin brother. He decides to kill all potential heirs of his father's possession, even his father himself, until only his twin brother remains.
This could be about the murders ("Every harvest brings me closer to my aim") and how he plans to kill his father and take everything he has ("And all you ever had will soon belong to me.").
The part where Elize sings is the ghost of Jolee, his sister, trying to keep him from completing his plans, but he doesn't listen to her at all - that's why the last chorus tears apart her soft singing, so to say.

"Veritas" means truth. In connection with the story it is a symbol for the things that the twin brothers hide. Their sister died and it is their fault, yet they sweared not to tell anyone. They burned the word "Veritas" on their chests, which will alway remind them of the thing they fear the most - the truth.
So in the end this song is about the lie that Robert lives and that grows with every family member he kills.

Translation:"In morte ultima veritas" means "in death, the final truth."

I think "vincit veritas in omni re" means "truth prevails in everything."
