(2x)
You try your best but it's not quite there
You kick a hoof and say it's just not fair
A simple mare living simple dreams
A rumour that's not quite as it seems

(2x)
Carrot top, go beyond us
You're a late star, time to fool us
Keep your friends close, they're what drive you
To the cosmos that describes you

Brighter than tonights sunset
Can't mistake your silhouette
Not a sound nor voice nearby
Your mane illuminates this gloomy sky

(2x)
Carrot top, go beyond us
You're a late star, time to fool us
Keep your friends close, they're what drive you
To the cosmos that describes you

General CommentThis song is about a My Little Pony called Carrot Top, created by a brony musician. The lyrics are supposed be encouraging toward the pony who is frequently depicted as always doing something wrong.

My InterpretationI think what these lyrics mean is that even though it seems like you have no talent and you're willing to give up, your friends are there to support you and help find who you really are. Life may not be treating your fairly, but that's life. Everyone knows their talent, but you don't, but that doesn't mean you should give up .
