Climb,
You're dehydrated
Fly,
Your wings are jaded
Cry,
You're enervated
Die,
For what you believe in
Try,
You've nearly made it
Why...

You're the plague within my dreams,
Soaring through an atmosphere of an adequate lack of strength
And we're responsible,
The truth is that it will end here,
Denial's an impairment of your fear
Can we save us from ourselves?
Can we save us from ourselves?
This is the savior and it's form

You can break through
Wake me up
Tell me it's gone
False hope sells lies
I won't buy
We are still one

Let's attempt escape,
Melancholia will feed
We'll admit defeat
The vox populi will cease
The air is thickening
We are drifting

You're the plague within my dreams,
Soaring through an atmosphere of an adequate lack of strength
And we're responsible,
The truth is that it will end here,
Denial's an impairment of your fear
Can we save us from ourselves?
Can we save us from ourselves?
This is the savior and it's form

What's done is done
One last second chance would be enough
Only on the brink can we see so clearly

Wake me up...
Wake me up

My InterpretationI think this song is about a relationship, or a past relationship, someone that consistently haunts his thoughts.
'Fly (your wings are jaded)' : she flys away now as shes grown tired
'Cry (you're enervated)' : I think he is talking about the both of them lacking the energy to put into the relationship.

'Die (for what you believe in).
    Try (you've nearly made it).
    Why...'
He believes in her, and he is so close to having made it work, but he can't understand why he trys so hard to get to that point especially since it all fails.

    (Chorus)--------------------------------------------------------------------
    'You're the plague within my dreams;
Soaring through an atmosphere of an adequate lack of strength,
(and we're responsible) the truth is that it will end here,'
as stated above, she haunts his thoughts, even in his sleep.
continuing to go deeper into these thoughts (soaring), he lacks the strength to make it end the right way.
He knows it is his fault, and that She won't stay through his 'adequate lack of strength'

'Denial's an impairment of your fear.
Can we save us from ourselves? (can we save us from ourselves?)
This is the saviour and it's form...'
He wish it weren't this way, trying to deny its reality.
"can we save us from ourselves" : I think that this is him questioning his habbit, and her habbit too, being the ones that pull them farther apart.
"This is the saviour and its form...' : this line is hard, it could mean a number of things, but I think he sees her as the saviour in human form.
    ------------------------------------------------------------

You can break through, : You can get through to me
wake me up, : if you wake me from this denial
tell me it's gone. : don't let this dream be true
    False hope sells lies.
I won't buy. : He won't buy the situational statements she makes
We are still one. : denial
Let's attempt escape, : lets make it work
Melancholia will feed, : sadness will feed the reasons to break
We'll admit defeat, : finally accepts that he can't win this one
The box populi will cease. : His genes will stop
The air is thickening. : hard to speak
We are drifting. : when they have dirfted so far apart.

'What's done is done, :They have broke up, there may be no going back.
One last second chance would be enough. : this denotes that they may have known each other for awhile, and that she has given him a second chance before. He wants just one more
Only on the brink can we see so clearly.' : Now that he can see so clearly after her leaving, he wants to go back and make up for all of the wrong that he did, and didn't notice before.

"wake me up" : this cant be real.

My InterpretationI think this song is talking about how we are killing ourselves and all living beings by destroying the earth. I'll explain the parts that most prove my point.

    "Climb (you're dehydrated ).
    Fly (your wings are jaded)."

This is referring to the animals. They are dehydrated and their wings are jaded because of the negative changes that are occurring to their habitats, which in the long run affects them drastically.

    "Cry (you're enervated)."

Obviously, this is how the affected feel.

"You're the plague within my dreams."

This could refer to what the animals think of us.

"Soaring through an atmosphere of an adequate lack of strength."

Refers to how we are destroying our atmosphere, which is now weaker than it used to be.

"(and we're responsible) the truth is that it will end here."

Directly states the message of the song.

"Denial's an impairment of your fear."

Here it states that we don't want to accept the fate we'll face if this world keeps getting worse.

"Can we save us from ourselves? (can we save us from ourselves?)"

Once again, stating the message of this song.

"This is the saviour and it's form..."

I think this refers to us, humans. We are the saviors (or at least we could choose to be), and our form, which is ironically affecting us negatively.

    "You can break through,
    wake me up,
    tell me it's gone."

Related to the main message of the song. We can choose to make things better, but at the same time we want this problem to end.

    "False hope sells lies.
    I won't buy."

We wan't to fool ourselves in thinking that things are alright while they aren't.

    "We are still one.
    Let's attempt escape,
    Melancholia will feed,
    We'll admit defeat,
    The box populi will cease.
    The air is thickening.
    We are drifting."

Here he wants to make things right; he wants us all to admit that we are messing things up and correct our own errors and eventually fix things.

    "What's done is done,
One last second chance would be enough.
Only on the brink can we see so clearly."

The damage is already done, like it says, and at the last moment, when things are at its worst, we realize our fatal error.

    "Wake me up"

To finalize, this, once more, refers to the main message of this masterpiece of a song!
