Hey girl, I'm waitin' on ya, I'm waitin' on ya
Come on and let me sneak you out
And have a celebration, a celebration
The music up, the windows down

Yeah, we'll be doing what we do
Just pretending that we're cool and we know it, too
Yeah, we'll keep doing what we do
Just pretending that we're cool, so tonight

Let's go crazy, crazy, crazy 'til we see the sun
I know we only met but let's pretend it's love
And never, never, never stop for anyone
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh and live while we're young
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young

Hey girl, it's now or never, it's now or never
Don't over-think just let it go
And if we get together, yeah, get together
Don't let the pictures leave your phone

Yeah, we'll be doing what we do
Just pretending that we're cool, so tonight

Let's go crazy, crazy, crazy 'til we see the sun
I know we only met but let's pretend it's love
And never, never, never stop for anyone
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh, wanna live while we're young
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young

And girl, you and I
We're about to make some memories tonight
I wanna live while we're young
We wanna live while we're young

Let's go crazy, crazy, crazy 'til we see the sun
I know we only met but let's pretend it's love
And never, never, never stop for anyone
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young

Crazy, crazy, crazy 'til we see the sun
I know we only met but let's pretend it's love
And never, never, never stop for anyone
Tonight let's get some and live while we're young

Wanna live, wanna live (wanna live while we're young)
Come on, young
Wanna live while we're young
Wanna live, wanna live (wanna live while we're young)
Tonight let's get some, and live while we're young

    My Interpretation

me and my friend were thinking; this song doesn't have to be about, well, you-know-what. so we decided to give you our interpretation, this is for all the young directioners:

"Hey girl I’m waiting on ya, I’m waiting on ya Come on and let me sneak you out" this is about a guy coming to his friends house to sneak her out so she could get a present for her parents anniversary

"And have a celebration, a celebration The music up, the windows down" this is them being excited about getting out to get the present

":Yeah, we’ll be doing what we do Just pretending that we’re cool and we know it too Yeah, we’ll keep doing what we do Just pretending that we’re cool, so tonight" this is them just being them

"Let’s go crazy, crazy, crazy ’til we see the sun I know we only met but let’s pretend it’s love And never, never, never stop for anyone Tonight let’s get some and live while we’re young Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh and live while we’re young Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh Tonight let’s get some and live while we’re young" they are just being crazy until the sun - as they are out and buying a present, they aren't going to stop cus they know what they are going to get for their parents anniversary. i know we only met but lets pretend its love means that even tho they just met the present (a puppy) they are going to pretend that they love it. (but they eventually do) tonight lets get some means they are going to get a present - a PUPPY!! and now they are just gonna live while they are young.

"Hey girl it’s now or never, it’s now or never Don't over-think just let it go And if we get together, yeah, get together Don’t let the pictures leave your phone" Zayn here is saying that the girl better hurry up and choose which puppy, hes telling her not to over think it. and if they get the puppy, she better not let the pictures leave her phone.

"Yeah, we’ll be doing what we do Just pretending that we’re cool, so tonight" they are just being them

    -repeat chorus-

"And girl, you and I We’re about to make some memories tonight" they are making memories about the puppy tonight

"I wanna live while we’re young We wanna live while we’re young" all they wanna do is live while they are young

    -repeat chorus-

lots of them wanting to live while they are young

there you go; a really sweet story about a guy helping his friend - who just happens to be a girl- to get a present for her parents anniversary :) xxx wisdoms_daughter xxx

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
