Do you expect me to talk?
No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to sing.

Lock your Door!
Watch out For 007!

Fight temptation
For world domination.

I am a true spy
And I’m not your average guy.
The simple fact that I can’t die
Leaves evil men wondering why
They all continually try
To force out my final goodbye
And while I never seem to sweat.

Information
Through flirtation.

I have a way with Women.
(Oh! I love you!)
Most of the time, it ends bad.
(I know your weakness.)
They leave me stirred and shaken.
(Oh! I’m sorry!)
I leave ‘em scantily clad.
It’s your uniqueness.

I have my way with Women.
(Oh! I need you!)
After I’m done, I skip town.
(I am so lonely!)
As I get old, I’m thinkin’
(Oh! I want you!)
Do men like me settle down?
My one and only!

It never could be love.
That’s how it had to be.
Her name reminds me of
Female anatomy.

Lock your Door!
Watch out For 007!

Infiltration
Fascination.

Agents require
A Black tuxedo attire
License to Kill won’t expire.
The only way we retire
Is when the studios hire
Someone different to admire
And yet, I never seem to sweat

Tell me the whole plot.
There is no way you can get caught.
You seem to tie such a good knot.
Just leave me here, so I can rot.
Forget the fact we ever fought.
I’m thankful I haven’t been shot.
And have you ever seen me sweat?

Detonation
Innovation.

I have a way with Gadgets.
(Oh! A rolex!)
All of the ones I can choose.
(And it’s magnetic!)
I don’t have any permits
(Oh! A jetpack!)
For anything that I use.
(Such an aesthetic!)

I have my way with Gadgets.
(Oh! A briefcase!)
Somehow it always works out.
(Its got explosives!)
Q knew what I’d be needin’.
(Oh! A wetsuit!)
As if there were any doubt.
(Nobody forgives!)

Villains can not be done
Until we all agree
That they have used their one
Crazy deformity.

Lock your Door!
Watch out For 007!

No Vacation
Preparation.

I’m who to blame.
I’ve got the fame.
As you take aim,
I’ll give my name

(gunshot)

BOND!

James Bond.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
