[ANGEL]
La vida es un proceso
de millones de contrastes
y cosas de las que
por momentos quiero olvidarme

Deambulo por callejones
donde el diablo es visible
transformado en bazuco
haciendo un mal indescriptible

Los golpes de la vida
fueron los que me cambiaron
y las notas musicales
que mi vida transformaron

Aprendía en el barrio
lo que no aprendí en la escuela
sobrevivir en medio
de un mundo lleno de fieras

La experiencia enriquecida
me formó como persona
en crónicas urbanas
relator de muchas zonas

Momentos en la vida
sustanciales e importantes
un vago borracho
en sinfonías nocturnales

Elíxir callejero
la poesía interminable
el frío del asfalto
hace que sus calles hablen...

Hace que sus calles hablen

CORO
[ALBEIRO]
Orgulloso de quien soy
la experiencia es mi maestra
mi salón ha sido el centro
de esta urbe gigantesca

[SMITH]
Donde las matemáticas
se aprenden con monedas
lograr sobrevivir
la materia más extensa (bis)

[ALBEIRO]
El tiempo ya ni sabe
que no te deja dormir
leyenda de la novena
con un duro subsistir

Andando entre el asfalto
entre los guetos, barrios bajos
infiltrándome en el humo
fue mi grasoso trabajo

Mafiosos con rameras
por mi lado caminaban
mientras que los del turno
por su parte ellos cobraban

Acaso fue un delito
obtener lo que buscaba
portaba la sustancia
que sus ganas aplacaban

Ahora me dedico
a otra clase de negocios
pasando por el esfuerzo
de sacarle gusto al ocio

De la farra, de la fuma
tal vez yo sea un vicioso
la yerba con la cebada
me ponen como ajisoso

Pero frescos, no se asusten
que no cometí el pecado
represento las calles del centro
con mis hermanos

Pertenezco a la guarida
de los bosques de allá arriba
desde el 79 yo fui
mi única pandilla

No es culpa de todo copas
que fumemos en su esquina
Albeiro con Smith y Angel
que mi Dios me los bendiga

CORO

[SMITH]
Lo importante no es saber
que quieres ser para crecer
sino como mantener
el espíritu de vencer

Para no desfallecer
y así poder entender
que a la vida no se viene
sólo a dormir y comer

Aunque no soy el sujeto
indicado para el tema
pues yo no tengo novia
pero me quiere la suegra

Con amigos por montones
cuando me infiltro en las fiestas
me devuelvo a pie
pues pa'l pasaje no me prestan

Y tal vez suene irónica
mi cruda realidad
a pesar de que estudié
a los buses me subo a rapear

Y no es por alardear
sino por necesidad
si tuviera un buen empleo
dejaría de fastidiar

Aunque no le veo el problema
yo no le hago el mal a nadie
no me satisface
mostrar mi navaja a nadie

Cada quien viva lo suyo
total poco me importa
si no me veo en líos
por mi parte todo copas

De todos los que distingo
en ninguno yo confío
tampoco en el espejo
ni siquiera el vidrio es mio

La experiencia me ha enseñado
a ser un vago sencillo
y a vivir solamente
con lo que haya en mis bolsillos

Respeto a los bandidos
no es fácil ser forajido
también a las prostitutas
por ser amigas del frío

Respeto a la competencia
por ser mis mayores críticos
lo mismo a los que son esclavos
de sus propios vicios

Respeto a mis vecinos
mis amigos, mis dos hijos
las mujeres, los raperos
por escuchar lo que escribo

Respeto al de abajo
por los placeres prohibidos
y adoro al de arriba
por dejarme seguir vivo

[ANGEL]
Estas son nuestras experiencias!

[SMITH]
Simplemente lo que se ve aquí en la calle...
Somos Albeiro, Smith y Angel... Todo Copas

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
