Well, there's nothing to it
Just gotta keep the ground moving beneath me
I don't know what I'm doing
I just know how it feels

Now, no matter where I flow
oh, I got to sit out (?)
I just wanted to have a good time
And I wonder if we get another shot

Twitching like a bug in the sun
And hoping I don't hurt anyone
Well, I'd drop anything for fun
And what's done is done is done

Yeah, I can laught at loss
Yeah, I can show my teeth (?)
Thank god they're dead and buried
So we can enter some talk

Made some bad decisions
Well, everything always ends up fine
I just hope that you had a good time
And I wonder if we get another shot

Twitching like a bug in the sun
And hoping I don't hurt anyone
Well, I'd drop anything for fun
And what's done is done is done

Twitching like a bug in the sun
And hoping I don't hurt anyone
Well, I'd drop anything for fun
And what's done is done is done

Twitching like a bug in the sun
And hoping I don't hurt anyone
Well, I'd drop anything for fun
And what's done is done is done

Fixing the lyrics: "Flow" should be "float" "oh, I got to sit out (?)" should be "oh, I got to sit out overneath a hole" "Laught" should be "laugh" "Made some bad decisions" should be "We made..." "Me teeth (?)" should be "my teeth and shut it off"

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
