Music and lyrics written by Angela Lewis....
Here comes the morning sun
Though it’s still lightly raining
It must be Mother Nature’s way of saying
That we should stay inside
Hey, we could light the fire
And lay here on this floor talking for hours

They say if you’re looking, it will never come
So hold on tight, and never let this go
The stars in your eyes make me feel at home
Is this what it’s like?

And now the sun is gone
But the stars are brightly shining
As I play a number on guitar and start rhyming
When we finally fall asleep
And both of us are dreaming
It becomes clear that both of us are falling quickly

I’ve never felt close to this way before
So hold on tight, and never let this go
The stars in your eyes make me feel at home
So this is what it’s like to be in love

    Song MeaningLewis' comments:
"I'm fairly certain this was the first 'corny love song' I wrote. The reception of it was so well compared to my others, that I decided to try and utilize that type of lyrics more in my future songs, which ended up comprising most of The Common Cure. All in all, a good portion of that CD was written over a period of two months [December 2011 - January 2012], with a few stragglers here and there and tweaks later on.

    The meaning? The title."
