You wanna know me
Well what’s to know?
Do I amuse you
When the night is slow?
Do your eyelids ever close?
Calling spirits in your waking woes

I know where to find you
I know where you go
And I just want to let you know
You can have me
You can have me all

Am I twisted?
What can I say?
Your days are empty
And my tongue’s decayed
Will you stay up just to tempt me?
One more night of your company

I know where to find you
I know where you go
And I just want to let you know
You can have me
You can have me all

General CommentI love nocturne so much, it brings me joy listening to it...

My interpretation of the song indicates that it is the beginning stages of a relationship, with two people attracted to each other and getting to know each other. While it's just the beginning, they can't really show their emotions and have to pretend normal. This can be easily described in a situation where two people are working together closely (like friends or coworkers) or perhaps two strangers that often collide in a bar or other setting.

They are both dealing with the same things and as the title states, they feel anxious in the night and when they feel lonely they know the other person is there, making them appreciate their company and presence.

"You can have me all," means that they are there for each other both emotionally but "ALL" emphasizes that there is the physical aspect too. The rest of the song goes on the portray the twisted feelings and emotions they hold and can't make it happen because either they are shy or perhaps have obligations that isn't letting it happen.

They repeat the chorus because it 's obsessing over this frustration and tension between them, which becomes intensely strong with the increasing bass and guitar tone which imitates a beating heart or the motions during intercourse. It's almost like they are obsessed with making each other feel high... and especially the intense feeling of intimacy when one is about to leave... but still continuously obsessed like a secret stalker, twisted but acknowledged. I think this song is about love, although one might argue it's about drugs... the melody is melancholic with a hypnotic beat that gets your heart racing for more.

    My InterpretationHere's what I think.
The song is being told through the eyes of an admirer who has finally started a conversation with his/her object of obsession, on a slow night, at a bar. Told in the lines:
"You wanna know me? well what's to know. To amuse you when the night is slow."
    The part where he/she goes:
"Do your eyelids ever close, caught spirits in your waking woes?"
He/she always finds this person late nights drinking spirits after a long day, maybe?
Again, the "I know where to find you, I know where you go", is stating that this person frequents this bar, and the admirer goes there to see said person.
Now in the second stanza I feel like they might be back at his/her place.
"And you're twisted, what can I say? your days are empty and my tongue's decayed"
He/She is making the observation that this person is drunk but he/she accepts this, understanding that this person's days are not exactly productive. He/she is now staying up with this person in kind of an awkward silence.
"And we stay up, just to tempt me, One more night of your company."
Finally had the chance to get this object of admiration, but alas, it is thwarted by unfortunate circumstances. Just another night in this person's company. That's where I think the line:
"You can have me, you can have me all," comes into play.
I've taken the opportunity to profess feelings to someone who was way to drunk to remember the next day. I used that opportunity to say what I never had the courage to say when she was sober.

General CommentTo me this seems to speak of someone who is stuck in a hopeless "friend zone". This person seems to start growing bitter of the relationship because he wants something more. He even pleads "you can have me", as if to hang on to hope that maybe this relationship will one day progress past this undesirable circumstance.

General CommentI'm in love with Nocturne and with Wild Nothing ever since I have heard their cover of The Wake. It made me fall in love, but I'm kind of scared to listen to their first album. Nocturne is just so beautiful, the whole album seems like it came directly from the 1980's.
