First verse:
I'm a little teapot,
Short and stout,
Here is my handle, (one hand on hip)
Here is my spout, (other arm out with elbow and wrist bent)
When I get all steamed up,
Hear me shout,
Tip me up and pour me out! (lean over toward spout)

Second verse:
I'm a clever teapot,
Yes, it's true,
Here's an example of what I can do,
I can turn my handle into a spout, (switch arms)
Tip me up and pour me out!

General Comment...the sweetest, most innocent song every written/sung. For some of us we grew up with/on this song. I used to put my back against my bedroom door so I coudn't be bothered and then drop the pink thick plastic record onto the pink, blue, and white record player. I'd play the record over and over and over again until the sweet, nurturing voice behind the door would ask me if I were ok:) OBVIOUSLY about a teapot, but what makes this so incredibly special to older listeners such as I is that it was our very first taste of music....before the hunger began. God bless music and the joy it can create within the soul of the listener.
