You didn't have to look my way
Your eyes still haunt me to this day
But you did
Yes, you did

You didn't have to say my name
Ignite my circuits and start a flame
But you did

Oh, Turpentine erase me whole
(Cause) (I) don't want to live my life alone
(Well) (I) was waiting for you all my life
Oh.. Oh.. Oh..
Why.. Ah.. I..

Set me free, my
Honeybee
Ho-neybee

You didn't have to smile at me
Your grin's the sweetest that I've ever seen
But you did
Yes, you did

You didn't have to offer your hand
'Cause since I've kissed it I am at your command
But you did

Oh, Turpentine erase me whole
(Cause) (I) don't want to live my life alone
(Well) (I) was waiting for you all my life
Oh.. Oh.. Oh..
Why.. Ah.. I..

Set me free, my
Honeybee
Honeybee

Hello, goodbye, 'twas nice to know you
How I find myself without you
That I'll never know (That I'll never know)
I let myself go (I let myself go)

Hello, goodbye, I'm rather crazy
And I never thought I was crazy
But what do I know? (But what do I know?)
I let myself go (I let myself go)

Ooh,
Honeybee
Honeybee

(Honeybee)
Hello, goodbye, 'twas nice to know you
How I find myself without you
That I'll never know
(Honeybee)
I let myself go

Hello, goodbye, I'm rather crazy
And I never thought I was crazy
But what do I know? (But what do I know)
I let myself go (I let myself go)

Hello, goodbye, 'twas nice to know you
(That I'll never know)
How I find myself without you
Hello, goodbye, I'm rather crazy,
(I let myself go)
And I never thought I was crazy
Hello, goodbye, 'twas nice to know you
(But what do I know)
How I find myself without you
Hello, goodbye, I'm rather crazy,
(Now you have to go)
And I never thought I was crazy

General CommentI know there is a story to go along with this song but the words are too sincere for me to believe that's as far as it goes. If that is in fact the case I can only imagine what they write when they mean it.

For me it is most certainly the feeling you're left with when you simply can't get over someone in-particular. It's not a plea to reunite but a projection of emptiness where love once was. To know you will be without this person but to pine still. While accepting what's happened you can't say with certainty why you ever let them go. Maybe you never will.

General CommentThis song seems pretty cut and dry on the surface-- It's about trying to let go of a past love that for this reason or that, you just can't get over. The ending "now you have to go" is interesting, though. It could simply be saying you're gone and now I have to let you go, but I prefer to think --- possibly because they look like awesome scary robots and this would be in line with my perception of awesome scary robots -- that "now you have to go" is the singer making the decision that since he can't get over his lost love, he has to kill her. I'm probably wrong, but that's how i prefer it :-)

General CommentThe song is about a female robot named Honeybee that Rabbit had met at a county fair. Later on the county fair was abandoned and Honeybee was found with missing parts and could no longer function again. Due to Rabbit being a robot, he will live with this sadness forever.

General CommentI think its about meeting someone for the first time and not taking the chance to get there number or something to meet them again. We often say goodbye instead of taking the leap of faith to say, "I want to see you again" and now its on your mind of the mistake you made. "That I'll never know"
