You fly too high
For homemade wings
Act like you're amused
You're a delicacy

Futile, the fight with gravity
She's got you harpooned
It's just a matter of time

The ocean at that speed
Is like a wall
The waves upon the sea
Won't break your fall
They'll break your bones

I feel the bite
And it's softening
I've broken you down
Not sayin' it's right

And once inside
You're kept at bay
I pick and I choose
[What] gets through this membrane

The ocean at that speed
Is like a wall
The waves upon the sea
Won't break your fall
They'll break you
They'll break you

(I feel the bite
I broke you down
It's softening
Not sayin' it's right)

    My Interpretation"And once inside
    You're kept at bay
    I pick and I choose
    gets through this membrane"

Like a cell, allowing the right proteins in and keeping the wrong ones out. Science!

I feel like the songs is a form of twisted love.
Bveloed being an anagram of beloved. Then the metaphors of controlling someone or weakening them into submissive state.

    "I feel the bite
    And it's softening
    I've broken you down
    Not sayin' it's right"

While the person knows it's wrong they still do it. They feel that it makes things work for them. Love can be crazy and so can people.
