"If I’m Honest" as written by and Melissa Morrison Higgins....
Darling, if I'm honest
You've been on my mind, on my mind all day.
And darling, if I'm honest
I can't bring myself to think no other way.

I've been doing all kinds
Of reckless things to forget your face
Like going out on the town
And spreading around
All that love I kept for you.

But no one
Touches me like you used to
It's a shame but true
Nobody loves me the way that you
Used to.

And darling, I've been moving
Through seas of faces hoping to meet your stare
Dancing towards any strangers
With your crazy eyes or way with golden hair

I've been trying all kinds
Of useless ways just to push it all down
Like spinning around, spinning around
Till I fall to the ground

But no one
Touches me like you used to
It's a shame but true
Nobody loves me the way that you
Used to.

So I painted over all the cracks
But now your paint is pealing back

It's a shame but true
It's a shame but true
It's a shame but true
Nobody loves me the way that you
Used to.

General CommentThis song has a pretty clear meaning: she was in love with someone. Now they don't love her anymore. She still loves them. She's doing things to try to forget, which could also mean drugs and alcohol, as well as the things specifically mentioned. I can really relate to this song, having been separated from someone I love and not being able to get over them. The song ends without her finding closure, but I like to imagine that she's okay now.
