"I'm Addicted" as written by Madonna ., Alessandro Benassi and Marco Benassi....
When did your name change from a word to a charm?
No other sound makes the hair stand up on the back of my arm
All of the letters push to the front of my mouth
And saying your name is somewhere between a prayer and a shout
And I can’t get it out

When did your name change from language to magic?
I’d write it again on the back of my hand,
And I know it sounds tragic

Feels like a drug
And I can’t get enough
And it fits like a glove
I’m addicted to your love
(I’m addicted to your love)
(I’m addicted to your love)

I’m addicted, I’m addicted, I’m addicted to your...
I’m addicted, I’m addicted, I’m addicted to your love

Now that your name
Pumps like the blood in my veins
Pulse through my body, igniting my mind
It’s like MDMA and that’s OK

Your name's like a drug
And I can’t get enough
And it fits like a glove
I’m addicted to your love

I’m addicted, I’m addicted, I’m addicted to your...
I’m addicted, I’m addicted, I’m addicted to your love

I need this exchange
I don’t care if you think that I’m strange
Something happens to me when I hear your voice
Something happens to me and I have no choice

I need to hear your name
Everything feels so strange
I’m ready to take this chance
I need to dance

Your name's like a drug
And I can’t get enough
And it fits like a glove
I’m addicted to your love

I’m addicted, I’m addicted, I’m addicted to your...
I’m addicted, I’m addicted, I’m addicted to your love

MDMA, MDMA, MDMA, MDMA (I’m addicted)
MDMA, MDMA, MDMA, MDMA (I’m addicted)

General CommentHave you ever felt so crazy about someone that only hearing his/her name was already enough for you to go insane? Well, that's what this song's about! It's about someone who is literally so addicted to someone, that his/her love has the same effects on this person like a drug.

    "I need this exchange
I don't care if you think that I'm strange
Something happens to me when I hear your voice
Something happens to me and I have no choice"

This part shows that this person needs his/her lover to go on (like a drug addict) and only feels strong enough to dance/do crazy things with him/her around as shown in the following part.

"I need to hear your name
    Everything feels so strange
I'm willing to take this chance
    I need to dance"

The ending "MDMA, MDNA" shows the exchange of the lovers name with the name of a drug, in order to show that love can be as effective as drugs.

MemoryThe semi-title of MDNA-I'm Addicted-is Madonna having A Better Future. She does not look back. This song is about the kind of Dance, Music and Love that can never be bought. I'm Addicted (MDNA) is about Madonna's life and existence. She needs and wants to dance her life away because she feels love and brilliance!
