The song "Two Black Cadillacs" by Carrie Underwood is about the funeral of a man who was killed by both his wife and his mistress, who figured out about each other and conspired his murder....

Two black Cadillacs driving in a slow parade
Headlights shining bright in the middle of the day
One is for his wife,
The other for the woman who loved him at night
Two black Cadillacs meeting for the first time

[Chorus]
And the preacher said he was a good man
And his brother said he was a good friend
But the women in the two black veils didn’t bother to cry
Bye bye, bye bye
Yeah they took turns laying a rose down
Threw a handful of dirt into the deep ground
He’s not the only one who had a secret to hide
Bye bye, bye bye, bye Bye

Two black Cadillacs, two black Cadillacs

Two months ago his wife called the number on his phone
Turns out he'd been lying to both of them for oh so long
They decided then he’d never get away with doing this to them
Two black Cadillacs waiting for the ride down, ride down

[Chorus]

Yeah yeah

It was the first and the last time they saw each other face to face
They shared a crimson smile and just walked away
And left the secret at the grave

[Chorus]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

General Comment:So essentially this song is about two women and one man. The one woman is the man's mistress and the other is his wife. Well, the wife calls his phone one day and the mistress answers. The mistress/lover/girlfriend (whatever she is!) is angry he is married, and the wife is enraged he is having an affair. The two decide not to tolerate the man's behavior and so they come up with a plan to kill him. They do, but no one learns of their connection. Hence, everyone else saw him as a "good man" and a "good friend". The two women know, however, and they have their own secret of how they killed the man now, just like how he had his secret about the affair and his wife. I love this song by the way.

My Interpretation:By "one's for his wife, one's for the one who loved him at night" I took it as meaning that there were two hearses carrying two people in it. Which means that even tho they plotted against him, their plan failed and backfired in such a way that killed them both, but didn't implicate him because the preacher and his brother both said he was a good person, meaning they didn't know about him cheating on them and (possibly) killing them both.
By "he's not the only one with a secret to hide", I took it as meaning that either his wife or mistress or both had been also cheating on him.

General Comment:Read it, or listen to it.

The wife and the mistress knew about each other. What neither of them knew about, or was willing to put up with was the cheater had another woman too.

That was the number on the phone the wife called.

That was what got him killed. The addition of someone he was keeping a secret from the two of them.

The wife and mistress got together, decided to kill him and did it.

They each were riding in a procession car of their own.

My Interpretation:"Two black Cadillacs driving in a slow parade/Headlights shining bright in the middle of the day/One is for his wife, The other for the woman who loved him at night/Two black Cadillacs meeting for the first time"
In this line, she says that two women are driving to the funeral of a man. One is the man's wife, and the other is the woman he was having an affair with, and this is the 1st time they've met each other.
"And the preacher said he was a good man/And his brother said he was a good friend/But the women in the two black veils, they didn't bother to cry/Bye bye, bye bye/Yeah, they took turns layin' a rose down/Threw a handful of dirt into the deep ground/He's not the only one who had a secret to hide/Bye bye, bye bye, bye bye"
In the chorus, she says that everybody at the funeral thinks that he was a good man, but that only she and the other woman know the man's dark secret, and that they were the ones that killed the man to get revenge.
"Two monthes ago, his wife called the number on his phone/Turns out he'd been lying to both of them for oh so long/They decided then he'd never get away with doing this to them/Two black Cadillacs waited for the right time, the right time"
She's saying that the man's wife called the other woman on his cell phone and finds out about his affair. After that, the two woman decided he wouldn't get away with betraying them and plan the right time to kill him.
"It was the first and the last time they saw each other face-to-face/They shared a crimson smile and just walked away/And left the secret at the grave"
She says that the women met at the funeral, smile at each other (meaning they wouldn't tell anyone about what they'd done), and then left, never to tell their secret.
Anyway, I like this song and it's one of Carrie Underwood's best vocally and lyrically.
