Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh
Said goodbye, turned around
And you were gone, gone, gone
Faded into the setting sun
Slipped away
But I won't cry
'Cause I know I'll never be lonely
For you are the stars to me
You are the light I follow

I will see you again, whoa
This is not where it ends
I will carry you with me, oh
'Til I see you again

Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh

I can hear those echoes in the wind at night
Calling me back in time
Back to you
In a place far away
Where the water meets the sky
The thought of it makes me smile
You are my tomorrow

I will see you again, whoa
This is not where it ends
I will carry you with me, oh
'Til I see you again

Sometimes I feel my heart is breaking
But I stay strong and I hold on 'cause I know

I will see you again, oh
This is not where it ends
I will carry you with me, yeah yeah

I will see you again, whoa
This is not where it ends
I will carry you with me, oh
'Til I see you again

Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh

'Til I see you again (Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh)
'Til I see you again, yeah yeah yeah, whoa
'Til I see you again
Said goodbye turned around
And you were gone, gone, gone

Personally I think this song is about a family member that passed away out of no where. And She didn't get the chance to say goodbye. Love this song:D I can really relate to it.

    Song Meaning

I feel that this song could be about a loved one going off to war. While it could also be interpretted as losing a loved one, i feel that it has multipule meanings. It is one of those songs that you hear and can't help but feel hopeful. No matter how the listener interprets it, it is a very positive take on loss (whether physically permenent or not).

    My Interpretation

I'm actually listening to this song as I type! Great song! "See You Again" has a very positive meaning like the others above have mentioned. I also can't help but feel optimistic after listening to it. I believe it can be interpreted a few different ways based on the listener's choice. However, I think it's more about a loved one going away for a while and then coming back and how strong love can truly be. I suggest for others to see the official video for the song. One of my favorite songs by Carrie Underwood. She sure can sing!

    My Interpretation

My interpretation of this song is about a loved one dying or leaving for a long time. In the dying sense, it could be used that you will see them again once your time comes, or maybe they will be spiritually present with you again. I can relate to it because this song was playing when my bestfriend said we wouldn't get to see eachother for a long time. This part I especially relate to: "I can hear those echoes in the wind at night Calling me back in time Back to you In a place far away Where the water meets the sky The thought of it makes me smile" When I hear this, I think of all our memories and how we'll have lots more.

    My Interpretation

To be honest lets yes I must agree with some of the above comments, which state that opinions could deffer form person to person when listening to this song. Here is my take on it. It's true that the music video and the lyrics gives the viewer/listener the impression about life after death and instills hope that you might see them again.

It could also mean that a person who really cared about you decided, he/she had no choice, but to leave because he/she cared too much and thus the lyrics seem to show regret when she says "Sometimes I feel my heart is breaking But I stay strong and I hold on" & "this is not where it ends, I will carry you with me" because it might have been to hard to let go but yet she/he hold on to the memory of the past in hope that their paths would cross again, if not in this life may be the nect :). In the 3rd verse the 2nd and 3rd stanzas ( I can hear those echoes in the wind at night Calling me back in time) indicates an intimate memory of the past, which he/she remembers fondly. the rest of the 3rd verse shows that he/she yearns to see him/her again. The 5th verse shows that sometimes any of us can lose hope and thus can break you at times. when she (carrie) says "but I stay strong and hold on cause I know, I will see you again" shows even though the thought of you can break him/her that both of them (or at least one of them) would still hold on to the memory of you until the time was right to see each other again. That's my take on this song lol i feel like I'm in Literature class all over again :D

'Cause I know I’ll never be lonely For you are the stars to me, You are the light I follow

Song is about Jesus. Jesus is the light. Nobody would call a person [other then jesus] the "light I follow"

I can hear those echoes in the wind at night Calling me back in time Back to you In a place far away Where the water meets the sky The thought of it makes me smile

Reference to heaven. The "you" is Jesus. The place where water meets the sky is heaven. She will see him again. She will see him there

    You are my tomorrow

    Her faith. Her everything.

Carry you with me= Carry the cross/faith with her everywhere. Image of Jesus. She must be talking about an encounter with Jesus from the past. Thats why its her everything, her light

    My Interpretation

Songs lyrics are personal interpretations based on the listener. Here's my take on this one...

This song opens up with one person leaving, by choice. The person who is left behind may or may not have sensed the goodbye coming but either way he/she is not sad about it because on some level understand the reason for the seperation and on some level, accepts it. (as conveyed in the lyrics "you are the stars to me, you are the light I follow". Proves that even though the seperation occurred, the person who left is still loved, cherished and thought of in a special way)

The seperation is hard, no doubt. He/she that was left behind wish it didn't have to happen but is hopeful that is all part of some greater plan that benefits them both in some way and when they are reunited they will learn what this lesson is. ("this is not where it ends". I will see you again.)

I like to think this song is about Kindred Spirits. People who come into your life for a season of time and change it, force you to grow, to learn life lessons that you wouldn't have otherwise without the presence of thier light. Then, when they are gone, you miss them and experience a deep hopeful longing for their return.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
