"As Fast As You Can" as written by Jeremy Taggart, Duncan Coutts, Steve Mazur and Raine Maida....
I know a girl, got a long snake moan
A fever in her head and a restless soul
I got a feeling that the church don't know
What the church don't know, the church don't mind
We all work on borrowed time

[Chorus]
Girl, you run as fast as you can
Don't give up, we'll always be friends
Run as fast as you, run as fast as you can

I know a girl, got a long snake moan
Got the voodoo in her hips and a god-shaped hole
I got a feeling that the kids don't know
What the kids don't know, the kids don't mind
We all work on borrowed time

[Chorus]

Every dog will have its day
Every dog will have its day

[Chorus]

General CommentDammit, I just typed a long explanation and lost it all. My interpretation is that it is an anti-typical breakup song; the speaker is wishing the woman the best, instead of lamenting on the problems that caused the breakup.

General CommentNo this is not about break ups, sorry snippy, OLP is way more than that..

I think this song is about, well, a girl or any one else running as fast as she can to survive this world, and all it's rigged ways (fever in her head and a restless soul) a longing for something w/c is not of physical things/ not of this world.. (I got a feeling that the church dont know, but the church dont mind) that would be something that the girl/the singer felt inside that no one understands, not the false teachings of a sold out church or the kids (people w/c are less adults in mind, not in age) we all work on borrowed time, well this is obviously our mortality, that we are only here for a short time, so run away because the ways of the world, its traditions and practices is all vain (this is actually from The Bible that of w/c I cant google right now for specific reference, but that it)
