"Heartbreaker" as written by and Paul Mattis....
I have no business, asking you the words
I know the reason, you exaggerate
I know the answers, to all your demands
I have no secrets

I'm not your heartbreaker
Some tender ballad playin'
I'm not your heartbreaker

These are the good years
Ah, the best we'll ever know
These golden light-years

I'm not your heartbreaker
Some tender ballad playin'
I'm not your heartbreaker

You know I'm hopeless
Oh no, no you're wrong
It's not the singer
It's the song

You know I'm helpless
Oh no, no you're wrong
It's not the singer
It's the song

On the short days
Like the Chinese stars
Let's dance in our uniforms

These are the good years
Ah, the best we'll ever know
These golden light-years

I'm not your heartbreaker
Some tender ballad playin'
I'm not your heartbreaker

I'm not your heartbreaker
Some tender ballad playin'
I'm not your heartbreaker
I'm not your heartbreaker

General CommentJust love the way it's sung almost with a sneer on the face!

General Commentthis is probably the sweetest, most self-assured song i've ever heard a man sing to his lover/partner.
the funny part is, it could be that he knows her/him so well, or that he's just so good at what he does, that it could be a song from him to a potential mate.
either way, he's not worried about hurting this person at all, and has no problem stating frankly, "i'm not your heartbreaker"
