Oh welcome it's a carnival in me, so clown around.
These words are battle scarred like marines, so load out.
Say he's the kind of kid that do's like he dont's-
and my bucket list is full of sick now.

In my drams I saw waves of filthy hands crash down on me,

[oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh]
Fever dreams leave me alone.
I will come to you when morning melts to noon.
Fever dreams fever dreams, oh oh oh.
In a panic, I'm no use.
I need the havoc like I need you.
[oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh]
Fever dreams leave me alone.

When lights go out my head hurries like a hummingbird.
Somehow my bedstand became your permanent perch.
I can't tell if I'm madly in love or madly not or madly off-
but as luck would have it my eyes are spinning slot machines.
There's a charm in you and everything, even a part of me.
May I know what it is that makes you work?
I want to know, I want it rebuilt.

We are whirlwinds of horrid things.
Put your hands on the nearest heart that still beats and sing with me;
"Bad company is what I keep when I'm too down to do alone",
so tell my ghosts to haunt another home.

Song MeaningFever Dreams started as two different songs that the band mashed together and rewrote whilst recording, Beau (the lyricist) refers to it as the "Frankenstein" of the album.
It was based on strange dreams Beau was having after being jet-lagged and bed ridden for a week
