"Night Light" as written by and Steven Ansell/ Laura Carter....
Write a note on the back of your hand
Ease your soul, you can understand
Take good pride in what you had
The day is done, the day is gone
Again

I'll be waiting up at midnight
When you feel
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me

Blackened sky is closing in
Concrete walls sit still and the autumn's been
Cool breeze, and the cocktails fight
This bitter taste, this bitter waste of mine

I'll be waiting up at midnight
When you feel
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me
It's the ghost you made of me

My InterpretationAt the beginning she seems to be giving life lessons: “ease your soul” is something that many of should try to listen to as well as “take good pride in what you had” and writing a note at the back of our hand could be many times useful. But when she sings: “the day is done; the day is gone, again”, she clearly seems to be talking about routine. Maybe when she means that routine made her a ghost, meaning that she isn't relaly living but just repeating actions
