You jumped when the air hit your eyes
You wanted t' go back but there wadn't none
Now you been going back for so long
That you think there is one
It makes me laugh to hear you say how far you've come
When you barely know how to use your thumb
So you know how t' count t' one
You messed in the sky picked a banana an' threw it
At the sun
You saw a flash in the water now there ain't one
You brought back somethin' that wasn't there
You brought back somethin' that wasn't fair
Pull back the adhesive tape
You're in ah scrape
Take to to your trees
There's no escape
The leaves are gettin' faker everyday
Flash Gordon's ape
Your too day

My InterpretationBasic lampooning of pop culture icons King Kong and Flash Gordon, done in the typical Beefheart style.

It's obviously meant for comedy - nothing truly astounding behind the lyrics.
