"Got It All (This Can't Be Living Now)" as written by and John Baldwin Gourley....
This can't be living now, if so then show me how
We'll shake, shake, shake the night away
We shook, shook, shook the night away.

Want to love like this love was young
But will I die as I become one,
At the bottom of it all.

You got it all
You got it all
You got it all
'Til the revolution comes
You got it all
You got it all
You got it all
'Til the revolution comes

I'm not alive (the revolution comes)
'Cause my teacher taught me everything
I'm not alive but then it's nothing it would be

When I was born I defied your times
But they were nothing, nothing like mine
We'll shake, shake, shake the night away
We shook, shook, shook the night away.

Fools like screwed up pain
But long as you're right there now
At the bottom of it all

You got it all
You got it all
You got it all
'Til the revolution comes
You got it all
You got it all
You got it all
'Til the revolution comes

I'm not alive 'cause my teacher taught me everything
I'm not alive but then it's nothing it would be

We shook, shook, shook the night away.
We shook, shook, shook the night away.

This can't be living now, if so then show me how
It will find it
At the bottom of it all

You got it all
You got it all
You got it all
'Til the revolution comes
You got it all
You got it all
You got it all
'Til the revolution comes

I'm not alive 'cause my teacher taught me everything
I'm not alive but then it's nothing it would be

Ah, ah, ah, ah

Lyric CorrectionTaken from the deluxe CD booklet:

    This can't be living now
If so then show me how
    We'll shake, shake, shake
    The night away
    We shook, shook, shook
    The night away

I want a love like this love was young
But will I die as I become
You'll find it at the bottom of it all

We got it all, we got it all
We got it all, 'til the revolution comes
We got it all, we got it all
We got it all, 'til the revolution comes
    I want a world like
My teacher told me it would be
    I want a love like
My parents told me it would be

    When I was born
    I defined your times
    But they were nothing
    Nothing like mine
    We'll shake, shake, shake
    The night away
    We shook, shook, shook
    The night away
    It feels like school again
    But learning's alright man!
You'll find it at the bottom of it all

We got it all, we got it all
We got it all, 'til the revolution comes
We got it all, we got it all
We got it all, 'til the revolution comes
    I want a world like
My teacher told me it would be
    I want a love like
My parents told me it would be

    We'll shake, shake, shake
    The night away
    We shook, shook, shook
    The night away

Well, this can't be living now
If so then show me how
We'll find it at the bottom of it all

We got it all, we got it all
We got it all, 'til the revolution comes
We got it all, we got it all
We got it all, 'til the revolution comes
    I want a world like
My teacher told me it would be
    I want a love like
My parents told me it would be

Lyric CorrectionI'm pretty sure the second part of the chorus is:

I want a love like my teacher taught me it would be
I want a love like my parents told me it would be

General CommentThis is an awesome piece. So much going on musically and vocally.
For me, the message seems to be about living in a fantasy world, oblivious to how shallow and cheap your life has become, and begging the recipient of the mesage to show them how to overcome the way they're living. He's "got it all" in his own mind, but realizes he'll be looking at his life with regret after the "revolution" of better living.
The overall yearning for love and redemption gives me the shakes every time I hear this.

Also, the music video (movie?) is fantastic in its disturbing surrealness.
