And now I know "Spanish Harlem" are
Not just pretty words to say

I thought I knew but now I know that rose trees
Never grow in New York city

Oh, until you see this trash can dream come true
You stand at the edge while people run you through

And I thank the Lord, there's people out there like you
I thank the Lord there's people out there like you

While Mona Lisa's and mad hatters
Sons of bankers, sons of lawyers
Turn around and say "good morning" to the night
For unless they see the sky but they can't and that is why
They know not if it's dark outside or light

While Mona Lisa's and mad hatters
Sons of bankers, sons of lawyers
And turn around and say "good morning" to the night (to the night)
For unless they see the sky but they can't and that is why
They know not if it's dark outside or light
They know not if it's dark outside or light, oh

She packed my bags last night pre-flight
Zero hour 9 am, oh yeah
I'm gonna be high as a kite by then

I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
It's lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight, timeless flight

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone, oh yeah

Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact it's cold as hell
And there's no one there to raise them if you did

And all this science I don't understand (don't, don't understand)
It's just my job five days a week (ooh)
A rocket man, oh rocket man

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no
I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone, yeah, yeah

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

And I think it's gonna be a long, long time (oh)
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time
Yeah, I think it's gonna be a long, long time (a long, long time)
Yes, I think it's gonna be a long, long time (long, long time)

Oh, long, long time
Yeah, I think it's gonna be a long, long time
Long, long time

Mona Lisa's and mad hatters
Mona Lisa's and mad hatters
Sons of bankers, sons of lawyers
Sons of bankers, sons of lawyers

Turn around to say good morning to the night
Mona Lisa's and mad hatters
Sons of bankers, sons of lawyers

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
