I know, they mighta told you
That you had to trust like this and pray like that
You might feel that all you done, that's going too far (going too far)
I just want you to know, that God's not tripping on your clothes
He is more concerned about your soul and your heart
We both alone, we both got saved
I don't have a Heaven or Hell, to get you in my friend
(He loves us all) yes, he does (he love me, he)
So give him your heart, it's a very good start
And come as you are

Don't matter if you're from the streets
Repent your sins of honesty
Just come as you are (come as you are)
Don't have to drive a fancy car, or dress like you're a movie star
Just come as you are (come as you are)
Over here, you have a voice
Rejoice and make a joyful noise
Come as you are (come as you are)
Give him all the glory, we can live and tell the story
Come on, come as you are (come as you are)
Wherever you comin' from, let's lift our hands as one
And praise the Lord together
He'll tell us, "well done", we're all his daughters and sons
Let's make the world much better
Just come as you are

I know, you told him you was leavin'
I know, they called you a heathen
I know, ain't nobody said, "wait child, don't go"
I know, don't know what to believe in
I know, 'cause the preacher ain't reaching
I know, and the teacher ain't teaching
I know, yeah (you know)
That when you wake up
You know, that it's not your own air that you're breathing
You know, when you think it over, that he's brought ya over
So it don't matter what people say, just come on

Don't matter if you're from the streets
Repent your sins of honesty (repent and be honest)
Just come as you are (come as you are)
(Come as you are) (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Don't have to drive a fancy car (no no), or dress like you're a movie star (hey)
Just come as you are (come as you are) (yeah) (come as you are) (oh)
Over here, you have a voice (come on it's your voice)
Rejoice and make a joyful noise (ay)
Come as you are (come as you are) (come as you are)
Give him all the glory, (yeah) we can live and tell the story (yes ah ah)
Come on, come as you are (come as you are) (come as you are)
Wherever you comin' from, let's lift our hands as one
And praise the Lord together
He'll tell us, "well done", we're all his daughters and sons
Let's make the world much better
Just come as you are

Everybody's welcome to come
There's room for everyone
That's why you sing this song
You can be the one, if you want to come
Everybody's welcome to come (oh yeah)
There's room for everyone (yes it is)
That's why you sing this song
You could be the one, if you want to come (come, come on)

You could bring your problems (like us)
I know that we can solve them (we could)
It's gonna be okay, He's gonna wash all of your sins away
You are never too far
You can come from wherever you are
Come oh, just come as you are

Don't matter if you're from the streets (if you're from the streets)
Repent your sins of honesty (oh, just turn around and come as you are)
Just come as you are (come as you are) (oh yeah)
Don't have to drive a fancy car (don't care what you're driving)
Or dress like you're a movie star (don't care what you're wearing)
Just come as you are (come as you are) (come as you are)

He loves you
Somebody loves ya
Come on, come on
Come on (yeah)
Come on home, come on home
'Cause daddy loves you
He loves you, yeah
Yeah, yes sir
Somebody love ya, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Come on home
Come on home now, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Come on

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
