Take me baby I'm all yours,
Do just what you wanna do with my love
Take me baby I'm all yours,
Do just what you wanna do with my love

With my love, with my love

Standing here alone with you
Wondering what it is that I'm supposed to do
And there you are with the love light in your eyes
The bridges are burnt down
Your arms are open wide

Am I in too deep or should I swim to the shore
Is this the real thing?
I don't know but I've never been here before

And I feel a thunder in my heart
That I just can't control
And I feel a thunder in my heart
Should I walk away, or follow my soul
I feel a thunder in my heart
That I just can't control
I feel a thunder in my heart
Should I walk away, or follow my soul

Take me baby I'm all yours,
Do just what you wanna do with my love
Take me baby I'm all yours,
Do just what you wanna do with my love

With my love, with my love

Standing here alone with you
Wondering what it is that I'm supposed to do
And there you are with the love light in your eyes
The bridges are burnt down
Your arms are open wide

Am I in too deep or should I swim to the shore
Is this the real thing?
I don't know but I've never been here before

And I feel a thunder in my heart
That I just can't control
And I feel a thunder in my heart
Should I walk away, or follow my soul
I feel a thunder in my heart
That I just can't control
I feel a thunder in my heart
Should I walk away, or follow my soul

I feel a thunder in my heart
That I just can't control

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
