"Born with Nothing, Die with Everything" as written by and Jerry Horton Jr. Tobin Esperance....
Fed-up, tired, sick and twisted
One man army, I'm enlisted
Trust yourself, trust no one else
Fuck a hero, be yourself

And I don't need your lousy hand-out
Clinched fists I'll fight my way out
Fight my way out
Find my way out

People wake up
And sing along
I trust no one
My trust is gone

[Chorus]
Born with nothing (born with nothing)
Die with everything
Born with nothing (born with nothing)
Die with everything, yeah

In a daze, these days go by
Faster and faster I speed through life
Now I've got to take control
Of my mental and my physical

Never sheltered from life's hard storms
I was cold but now I am warm
But inside I'm warm
(Now I am warm)

People wake up
And sing along
I trust no one
My trust is gone

[Chorus]

Searching and finding the truth inside myself
Searching and finding the truth inside myself
Inside myself

Searching...finding...truth

Fed-up, tired, sick and twisted
One man army, I'm enlisted
Trust yourself, trust no one else
Fuck a hero, be yourself

And I don't need your lousy hand-out
Clinched fists I'll fight my way out
Fight my way out
Find my way out

Born with nothing and die with everything
Born with nothing and die with everything
Born with nothing and die with everything
Born with nothing and die with everything

My soul was starving
I was born with nothing (born with nothing)
And I'll die with everything

Born with nothing and die with everything
Born with nothing and die with everything
Born with nothing and die with everything
Born with nothing and die with everything

General CommentShaddix: You're born with nothing - you rely totally on somebody else to take care of you, feed you, change your diaper. Then you grow up in a world where people have this instinct to achieve goals and be successful on their own. This is about pushing yourself and living your life as you want to live it while you're here. Also, it's me against the world: "Fed up, tired, sick and twisted/ One-man army, I'm enlisted."

General CommentThis song is about Jacobys life (I think) and how when he was a kid, he lived in somebodies laundry room, lived in a van and shit like that...

Now 20 years later, he has it all... And he's not going to let it slip... He's going to keep it until he dies...

General Commentthis song is wicked bad ass i just saw these guys not to long ago nad they where so fucking awesome. this is no in doubt my favortie song on this album.

i think that this song is about not having anything when he was younger and making somehting of himself getting somewhere in his life that he wanted and he can finally die knowing he has everything.

i grew up just like jacoby i lived in sombodies busted up trailer in there back yard for a couple of years and i moved around a lot and now i have some of the things i never could have dreamed about having so i take everything and embrace it...

General CommentI think this song is all about being born with nothing, but when you get to the end of your life you have shown the world what you're all about and by the time you die you have everything you need. I especially like the line, "Fuck a hero be yourself," which to me means you have to depend on yourself and nobody to be successful in life.
