"Drift & Die" as written by Wesley Scantlin and Jimmy Allen....
Forgotten thoughts of yesterday
Through my eyes I see the past

Well I don't know, I don't know I don't know why
I believe, I believe, I believe in the truth, from inside
Go away go away go away from me
Leave me alone
Ignorance spreads lies
How much will money buy
Well I'll take my time as I drift and die

Unwanted live my life a shame
Who's to blame for my mistakes

Well I don't know, I don't know I don't know why
I believe, I believe, I believe in the truth, from inside
Go away go away go away from me
Leave me alone
Ignorance spreads lies
How much will money buy
Well I'll take my time as I drift and die
As I drift and die, as I drift and die, as I drift and die

Ignorance spreads lies
How much will money bye
Well I'll take my time as I drift and die
As I drift and die, as I drift and die,
As I drift and die, as I drift and die
As I drift and die

General CommentThis song was originally released on their debut EP from 1994 "Stuck" and later released on their Come Clean album in 2001 and as the third single in early 2002.

I can't pinpoint an exact meaning, as there seems to be many topics floating around in these lyrics. Maybe he was trying to do a stream-of-consciousness type of song a la Kurt Cobain (his idol), or maybe he was just gettin' stoned and writing his thoughts down as they were happening, I don't know.

Either way, the music's great - one of the strongest from Come Clean and better than the original from Stuck, IMO.
