Ooh, I thought I was all right 'til I met you
Thought I was off in the fast lane, too
Just goes to show how little you know
Just goes to show how little you know
Cause I can't keep up, I can't keep up
I can't keep up, I'm out of breath and I'm sinking fast
Never gonna last

Because you're movin' 'bout a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a second
You know you're movin 'bout a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a second
Baby movin' 'bout a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a second

What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
Me... don't you remember?
What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
Me... but you're gone again

Ooh, I thought I was OK, 'til I got down here
Thought it was plotted out and my future looked awful clear
Yes it did, yes it did
Just goes to show how little you know
Just goes to show how little you know

Cause I can't keep up, I can't keep up
I can't keep up, I'm out of breath and yes I'm sinking fast
Don't think I'm gonna last

Because it's goin' 'bout a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a second
You know it's movin 'bout a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a second
Goin' 'bout a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a mile a second

What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
Me... remember the travellin'
What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
What do you see when you look behind you?
Me!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
