"What About Love?" as written by Brian Allen, Sheron Alton and Jim Vallance....
I've been lonely
I've been waiting for you
I'm pretending and that's all I can do
The love I'm sending
Ain't making it through to your heart

You've been hiding - never letting it show
Always trying to keep it under control
You got it down and you're well
On your way to the top
But there's something that you forgot

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away
What about love
I only want to share it with you
You might need it some day

I can't tell you what you're feeling inside
And I can't sell you what you don't want to buy
Something's missing and you got to
Look back on your life
You know something here just ain't right

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away
What about love
I only want to share it with you

What about love
Don't you want someone to care about you
What about love
Don't let it slip away
What about love
I only want to share it with you

General CommentIt is about a guy who is focused only on his career and won't share his feelings. He has become successful and portrays confidence in his job ("well on your way to the top"), but it is just a facade ("you've been hiding, never letting it show, always trying to keep it under control"). She isn't sure if he is scared, jaded, struggling with past heartache, etc. ("I can't tell you what you're feeling inside"), but she knows that she can't help him change if he isn't willing to help himself ("I can't sell you what you don't want to buy").

She makes a plea to him to realize that love is passing him by. If he doesn't change, he's going to wake up one day to realize he's become a lonely, regretful old man.

General CommentThis song makes me cry every time I hear it. Tears of joy mixed with the ones of sadness.
My first love played the song to me when he was pursuing me and when we finally got together he was killed in a car accident few months later.
So, now every time I hear this song I think of the good times we had, however short it was, and of the pain and anger I felt for not telling him how I truly felt

General CommentThis song seems about someone who doesn't want to commit to a relationship. The other person (singer) is hurt by this. The singer feels like they have been lead on but they still like this other person.
