"Let The Right One Slip In" as written by and Steven Patrick/whyte Morrissey....
Let the right one in
Let the old dreams die
Let the wrong ones go
They cannot
They cannot
They cannot do what you want them to do
Oh...

Let the right one in
Let the old dreams die
Let the wrong ones go
They do not
They do not
They do not see what you want them to
Oh...

Let the right one in
Let the old things fade
Put the tricks and schemes (for good) away

Ah...I will advise
Ah...Until my mouth dries
Ah...I will advise you to...

Ah...let the right one slip in
Slip in
Slip in

And when at last it does
I'd say you were within your rights to bite
The right one and say, "what kept you so long?"
"What kept you so long?"
Oh...

General CommentWhat no comments on this song? I adore this song...it's so much fun. I think it's about letting the right person into your life...rather than just automatically rejecting everyone.

General CommentI think it's about being more open to people in the hopes of finding "the right one", and as enolf said, not automatically rejecting everyone and holding them to impossibly high standards.

General CommentLove love love this song so much! And the book's pretty nifty too, and the film I love... more than either? It hurts my Morrisseyfixated soul to say so, but I really do.

But I love the song anyway. ^_^
